💼 Your role
As our People Operations Specialist, you’ll own and streamline everything related to the “hard” side of HR: payroll, contracts, benefits, compliance, and reporting, across multiple countries.
You’ll work closely with our Head of People & Talent, Finance, and external partners to ensure every employee at Qargo is supported, paid correctly, and set up for success - wherever they are based.
This role requires a mix of precision, structure, and curiosity to constantly improve our HR processes as we grow.
🧩 What you’ll do
Payroll & Compensation
- Support monthly payroll cycles for all Qargo countries (Belgium, UK, Ireland, France, the Netherlands and the US) in collaboration with local payroll providers and EOR partners
- Validate payroll data (new starters, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, benefits,…)
- Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across all regions
- Help with compensation benchmarking across all markets
- Keep accurate payroll records for audits, reporting, and internal analytics
Employment Administration & Compliance
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts and addenda
- Manage relationships with EOR partners and ensure alignment on local employment standards
- Coordinate visa and work permit processes for new or relocating employees
- Maintain accurate employee data
Benefits & Global People Operations
- Research and help implement country-specific benefits (healthcare, pensions, allowances, etc.)
- Coordinate benefit renewals, cost tracking, and reporting with Finance
- Provide responsive and accurate HR support to employees on payroll, benefits, and contracts
🧠 What you bring
- 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, or HR Administration, in a multi-country setup
- Hands-on experience managing U.S. payroll and employment operations
- Experience collaborating with local payroll providers and EOR partners across multiple countries
- Knowledge of employment law and compliance in at least one European country is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers and reports
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a strong plus
- Proactive, approachable, and eager to make things work better every day
